How much does it cost to install an EV charger in Central Scotland?

Installation cost depends on the charger, cable route, mounting position and whether the existing board can take the circuit. The guide explains each part.

Typical figure — Most straightforward home installs with our recommended Ohme Home Pro 7kW and its 5 metre charging lead come in around £1,100 to £1,300 including VAT. That assumes a single-phase supply; a house or flat with private off-street parking; wall mounting; a cable run up to about 15 metres; an existing board that takes the new circuit as it stands; and an address inside our local travel area. Checked August 2026.

What is included — The charger supplied and fitted, cable run, app and schedule setup, the required network-operator paperwork, testing and certification.

What moves it — A longer cable route, a board needing additional work, or a post instead of a wall. Shared access, cable gullies, communal supplies, workplaces and fleets need a survey.

The online estimate gives an itemised installed price. The fixed quote follows the survey. Use the full EV charger cost guide linked below for the detail.
